Western Idaho Fair in Boise

Western Idaho Fair is one of Idaho's three state fairs, held each late August at Expo Idaho in Garden City, adjacent to Boise. Tracing its roots to the 1897 Idaho Intermountain Fair and rebranded under its current name in 1967, it features livestock and 4-H exhibits, a long-running draft horse and mule show, and free concerts included with admission.

Western Idaho Fair traces its lineage back to 1897, when the Idaho Intermountain Fair first opened, later moving in 1902 to an 84-acre site at Fairview and Orchard that also hosted Buffalo Bill Cody's Wild West Show that same year.
