Rooster Days Festival in Broken Arrow
Rooster Days Festival is Broken Arrow's oldest annual celebration, held each May since 1931, when the local chamber of commerce created a market day for farmers to sell surplus roosters. What started as a poultry-culling day grew into a four-day festival with carnival rides, food trucks, a downtown parade, a 5K and one-mile fun run, and a vendor marketplace, all presented today by TTCU Federal Credit Union.
Rooster Days began in the spring of 1931 as a practical solution to an agricultural problem.
