Rose Festival and Chalk It Up in Broken Arrow
Broken Arrow's Rose Festival is a three-day September celebration centered on the city's downtown Rose District. The first two days belong to Chalk It Up, a free arts festival built around a chalk art competition, live music, food trucks, and a juried gallery show at Arts@302. The weekend closes with Rose Kites Over Broken Arrow, when families decorate free kites and fly them at a city park.
Broken Arrow has long promoted its historic downtown as the Rose District, a branding choice that eventually grew into a namesake festival built around late-summer arts and community events.
