Charro Days Fiesta in Brownsville
Charro Days Fiesta is a four-day pre-Lenten festival held each February in downtown Brownsville, celebrated jointly with sister city Matamoros, Mexico. First organized in 1937 by the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce, it centers on parades, street dancing, and traditional Mexican charro and Huipil costuming, drawing roughly 50,000 attendees.
Its binational cultural identity makes it a strong South Texas heritage event.
