South End Art Hop in Burlington
South End Art Hop is a weekend arts festival each September in Burlington, Vermont's South End Arts District, organized by the South End Arts and Business Association. The event opens artist studios and galleries across the neighborhood's industrial buildings for public viewing, anchored by a large juried exhibition tent showcasing hundreds of regional artists.
Burlington's South End neighborhood was historically home to manufacturing and warehouse operations, industrial buildings that, as manufacturing declined in the region over the twentieth century, gradually became available for alternative uses.
