Neil Simon Festival in Cedar City
The Neil Simon Festival is a professional summer repertory theatre in Cedar City, Utah, founded by Richard Dean Bugg in 2003 to preserve the comedic and dramatic works of playwright Neil Simon alongside his contemporaries. The festival now operates under the name SimonFest, and Cedar City's tourism board lists it among the town's annual summer arts events alongside the Utah Shakespeare Festival and Utah Summer Games.
Neil Simon spent much of his career as one of Broadway's most commercially successful playwrights, winning Tony Awards, a Pulitzer Prize, and enough acclaim that a Broadway theatre still carries his name.
