Chicago Pride Parade in Chicago
Held the last Sunday of June, the Chicago Pride Parade is one of the oldest Pride events in the world, tracing back to a 1970 march from Washington Square Park to the Water Tower. Now drawing more than a million spectators along its Lakeview and Uptown route, it is organized separately from the earlier Pride Fest street festival held the same month.
Its scale and civic history make it essential Illinois Pride coverage.
