Northalsted Market Days in Chicago
Northalsted Market Days is a two-day street festival along North Halsted Street in Chicago's Boystown neighborhood, running since 1982 and billed as the Midwest's largest street festival. Held in late summer, separate from June's Pride events, it draws more than 300,000 people for music on five stages, food and merchandise vendors, and past performances from acts including Salt-N-Pepa and Joan Jett.
Its scale and neighborhood identity make it a major city-community row.
