BLINK Cincinnati in Cincinnati

BLINK Cincinnati is a free, multi-night public art festival that turns downtown Cincinnati, Covington, and Newport into an outdoor gallery of building-scale light projections, murals, and interactive art installations. Held over four nights each October since its 2017 debut, it links the three riverfront cities across the Ohio River through zones like The Banks, Fountain Square, Over-the-Rhine, and Findlay Market. The 2026 edition runs October 8 through 11, nightly from 7 to 11 p.m.

Its citywide projection mapping and murals make it a visually major event.

The place changes

BLINK grew out of Brave Berlin's Lumenocity concerts (2013 to 2015) and debuted in 2017 as a four-day, 20-block event that drew more than a million visitors, the largest gathering ever seen in downtown Cincinnati and Over-the-Rhine

The 2019 edition expanded to 30 blocks and crossed the Ohio River into Covington for the first time, illuminating the historic Roebling Suspension Bridge

After a pandemic pause, organizing shifted to the Cincinnati Regional Chamber for 2022, which introduced a 300-drone show and the Asianati Night Market and drew more than two million attendees

In 2024 the festival added Newport, Kentucky, and a 100-foot laser bridge called Supernova spanning the river alongside the Roebling Bridge
