The Cleveland International Film Festival is an annual film festival held each spring at Playhouse Square in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. Inaugurated in 1977 with seven features at the Cedar Lee Theatre, it has grown into the largest film festival in Ohio and one of the longest-running in the United States, screening thousands of submissions from dozens of countries and qualifying short films for Academy Award consideration.
