Tri-City Latino Festival in Columbus
The Tri-City Latino Association organizes this Columbus, Georgia festival as an inclusive celebration of Latino culture, heritage and community empowerment. A public parade anchors the day, followed by music, dance, culinary traditions and family gathering through which local and regional participants represent many national and cultural backgrounds. The recurring practices—Latino heritage parade, music and dance presentation, and community food and cultural exchange—tie the public program to the place and the people who sustain it.
Flags, music and family groups move through Columbus in a parade designed to make Latino presence visible before the celebration gathers around dance and food.
