Denver Film Festival in Denver
Founded in 1978 as one of the first film festivals in the country, the Denver Film Festival runs eleven days each October and November, screening films from around the world alongside red carpet events, filmmaker Q&As, and industry panels. Produced by the nonprofit Denver Film, it drew more than 27,000 attendees to its most recent editions.
When the Denver Film Festival launched in 1978, the modern film festival landscape that now includes Sundance, Toronto, and dozens of other major events had barely begun to take shape.
