Positively Dover African American Festival in Dover
Each summer, Dover's Legislative Mall turns into a stage for Black culture and community pride, with music, a Black-owned vendor marketplace, and family programming filling the lawn beside the state's own institutions. The setting is deliberate: celebration happens in full public view, next to the buildings where state decisions get made.
You walk into the middle of it and the first thing you notice is how alive the lawn feels: voices rising over the music, kids tugging adults toward the next interesting thing, and clusters of friends greeting each other like they have been waiting all year for this exact afternoon.
