Plaza Classic Film Festival in El Paso

Eleven days each July, the Plaza Theatre in El Paso turns into a cinema time machine, mixing silent films with live musical accompaniment, restored classics, and visiting guests for post-screening conversations. The festival began in 2008 to bring movies back into the 1930 atmospheric theater, restored in 2006, so every screening carries a bit of that comeback story with it.
