Lane County Fair in Eugene
The Lane County Fair fills Eugene's Lane Events Center each midsummer with a ferris wheel, animal barns, agricultural exhibits, concerts and classic fair food, a tradition dating to the first three-day fair held in September 1884 and still anchored by 4-H livestock judging and agricultural exhibits today.
The Lane County Fair's roots reach back further than almost any other recurring event in the Eugene area: the first fair ran for three days starting September 25, 1884, organized as a showcase for the farming communities scattered across Lane County's stretch of the Willamette Valley.
