Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island
The Nebraska State Fair is an eleven-day agricultural fair held annually in Grand Island, Nebraska, ending on Labor Day, having relocated from Lincoln, where it had been held for over a century, in 2010. After more than a century in Lincoln, the fair relocated to a newly built Grand Island fairgrounds complex in 2010, while retaining its traditional Labor Day conclusion and agricultural-competition programming.
For more than a century, the Nebraska State Fair was held in Lincoln, the state capital, becoming deeply embedded in the city's civic identity and calendar over generations of continuous operation.
