Hawaii Triennial in Honolulu
The Hawaii Triennial is a large-scale exhibition of contemporary art from Hawaii, the Pacific, and beyond, organized by the nonprofit Hawaii Contemporary and staged roughly every three years across collaborating museums, galleries, and public sites on Oahu, Maui, and Hawaii Island. Its most recent edition, Hawaii Triennial 2025, ran under the theme Aloha No for 78 days with a rotating group of international curators shaping each cycle's focus.
Hawaii's largest recurring survey of contemporary art began as the Honolulu Biennial, first staged in 2017 and again in 2019, before organizers at the nonprofit Hawaii Contemporary restructured the event into a triennial cycle starting in 2022.
