King Kamehameha Celebration Floral Parade in Honolulu

The King Kamehameha Celebration Floral Parade honors Kamehameha I, founder of the unified Hawaiian Kingdom, each June on Oahu. Floral floats, marching bands, and Pa'u riders on horseback move from Iolani Palace through downtown Honolulu to Kapiolani Park, following a lei-draping ceremony at the King Kamehameha statue the day before, a tradition dating to a national holiday first proclaimed in 1871.
