Knox Asian Festival in Knoxville
Knox Asian Festival opens with the Asian Cultural Parade stepping off at 10:30 a.m. from the water fountain on the Festival Lawn. From there, country booths representing Japan, Vietnam, Korea, Nepal, and more than a dozen other nations run food, activities, and performances side by side rather than in separate zones. A food market spans both lawns, turning a walk through Festival Park into a steady trail of new aromas.
You hear it before you see it: drums near the fountain, people clustering along the lawn, and the smell of grilled food drifting between tents while families move from booth to booth with paper maps and full hands.
