Sawdust Art Festival in Laguna Beach
The Sawdust Art Festival is a summer-long, non-juried art show on a permanent three-acre site along Laguna Canyon Road, founded in 1965 by artists who broke away from the neighboring Festival of Arts over its jurying process. Named for the sawdust and wood-chip ground covering laid across its rustic booths, it now hosts around one hundred eighty artists across three live-music stages.
It has a strong local art identity and summer visitor draw.
