Silver Bells in the City in Lansing
Silver Bells in the City is Lansing, Michigan's annual holiday kickoff, held the Friday before Thanksgiving in downtown Lansing. Founded in 1984 by the Arts Council of Greater Lansing, it now draws roughly 40,000 people for an Electric Light Parade, the state Christmas tree lighting at the Capitol, a drone light show, fireworks, and a Silver Bells Village market. The free event runs from 5 to 9 p.m.
Its state-capital seasonal identity makes it a solid row.
