Helldorado Days in Las Vegas

Helldorado is an Old West-themed community celebration in Las Vegas, Nevada, dating to 1935, when the Las Vegas Elks organized it as a fundraising festival evoking the citys frontier-era history. Its scope has changed considerably over nine decades, shrinking from a major rodeo and parade production to a more focused parade and community celebration, but it continues today under its original name after a brief 2021 rebranding to Las Vegas Days.

On March 26, 1935, the Las Vegas Elks announced plans for a four-day celebration called Helldorado, hiring an out-of-town promoter to stage what the Las Vegas Review Journal called the biggest and most unique celebration ever attempted in the region.
