Timpanogos Storytelling Festival in Lehi
Each September, the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival brings nationally touring storytellers to Utah County for several days of ticketed concerts, family matinees, and workshops. Founded in 1991 by the nonprofit Timpanogos Storytelling Institute, the festival has grown into one of the longest-running storytelling events in the United States, now staged at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi with tented stages, evening concerts, and sessions built for both adults and children.
In 1991, a small group of Utah County residents who loved live storytelling founded the Timpanogos Storytelling Institute, hoping to give the oral tradition a permanent home in a state whose cultural calendar leaned heavily toward pageants, choir concerts, and outdoor recreation.
