Arkansas State Fair in Little Rock
The Arkansas State Fair and Livestock Show is the state's largest agricultural fair, running ten days each October at the Arkansas State Fairgrounds in Little Rock. Sponsored by the Arkansas Livestock Show Association, it traces its modern roots to 1938, following earlier fairs dating back to 1868.
Arkansas has been holding some version of a state fair since 1868, when the newly formed Arkansas State Agricultural and Mechanical Association staged a four-day event on Center Street in Little Rock.
