What is special

The part that makes it specific.

01

The place changes

The festival's identity is tied to its home library system: CALS runs the multi-day event across several branch locations, pairing nationally recognized authors with panels, workshops, and school outreach programs rather than confining the festival to a single venue

02

The mystery stays covered

A recent edition hosted over 8 days, welcomed more than 5,600 audience members and students, gave away more than 600 free books, and featured more than 50 authors and illustrators, including three Pulitzer Prize winners and one National Book Award winner

03

The city starts moving

Its children's program, Little Readers Rock, is run jointly with the Junior League of Little Rock, and the festival's move from an April date to a fall date in 2020, prompted by the pandemic, has stuck ever since
