Japanese Festival at Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis
The Japanese Festival at Missouri Botanical Garden is a Labor Day weekend celebration held around the garden's Seiwa-en, one of the largest Japanese strolling gardens in North America, in St. Louis, Missouri. Running for several decades, it features taiko drumming, martial arts demonstrations, tea ceremonies, ikebana flower arranging, bonsai displays, and Japanese food and craft vendors across the botanical garden grounds.
The Japanese Festival at Missouri Botanical Garden grew directly out of the garden's own Seiwa-en, a Japanese strolling garden built within the Missouri Botanical Garden's grounds and recognized as one of the largest gardens of its kind in North America.
