The Scandinavian Hjemkomst Festival, usually called the Scandinavian Festival, is an annual celebration of Nordic heritage held each June at the Hjemkomst Center in Moorhead, Minnesota. The Scandinavian Hjemkomst Festival grew out of the Hjemkomst Center itself, a Moorhead, Minnesota museum that opened in 1985 to house one of the more remarkable objects in the upper Midwest: a full-scale, seaworthy replica of a Viking ship.
