Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade in New York City (East Village)
Each October, dog owners fill Tompkins Square Park in Manhattan's East Village for what organizers call the world's largest Halloween dog parade. Costumed dogs and their owners march along Avenue B before a limited-entry costume competition crowns a Best in Show. Organized by the nonprofit New York Dog Parade, the event traces its roots to the mid-1980s and centers on the park's famous dog run.
It gives visitors a defined, time-bounded reason to experience carnival & parade in New York City (East Village), United States.
