Northampton Pride in Northampton
Northampton Pride (also known as Noho Pride) is a long-running LGBTQ pride parade and festival in Northampton, Massachusetts, historically held on the first Saturday in May since 1982. It is one of the older Pride events in New England, but the organizing nonprofit's own communications since around 2023 describe the event as being reimagined after a hiatus, and this research could not confirm whether an in-person parade and festival is currently running on a fixed annual schedule.
Northampton, Massachusetts, earned a national reputation beginning in the 1970s and 1980s as one of the most visible lesbian and LGBTQ-friendly small cities in the United States, a reputation that shaped the college town's identity alongside Smith College and its downtown arts scene.
