Michigan State Fair in Novi
The Michigan State Fair traces back to 1849 in Detroit, ran there for over 150 years until state funding ended in 2009, and was revived by nonprofit and private organizers before relocating to the Suburban Collection Showplace, now the Vibe Credit Union Showplace, in Novi. Today it continues as a privately organized agricultural fair rather than a state-funded institution.
It provides statewide fair identity with agriculture, rides, food, and entertainment.
