Alaska State Fair in Palmer

The Alaska State Fair is an annual fair held in Palmer, Alaska, about an hour north of Anchorage, running for roughly a week and a half beginning at the end of August. Set at the foot of the Chugach Mountains in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley, it is known for record-setting giant vegetables alongside amusement rides, competitive exhibits, and live performances.
