Renaissance Festival of Nebraska takes over a berry farm outside Papillion across three separate weekends every May rather than one continuous run, with days that open in the morning and wind down by early evening. Well-behaved leashed dogs are welcome, which sets a relaxed, family tone across grounds usually given over to ordinary farm traffic.
You walk in and the whole place feels playfully tilted out of ordinary Nebraska life: crowns flashing in the sun, children staring hard at passing knights, and vendors calling across the lanes while a lute or drum line drifts over the grass.
