Phoenix Fan Fusion in Phoenix
Phoenix Fan Fusion began in June 2002 as the one-day Phoenix Cactus Comicon in Ahwatukee, drawing 432 attendees to 32 dealer tables. Founded by collector Matt Solberg, it grew into Phoenix Comicon before moving to the Phoenix Convention Center in 2010 and rebranding as Phoenix Fan Fusion in 2019. The four-day summer event now covers comics, anime, gaming, and film and television fandom, drawing more than 130,000 attendees.
