Dollywood Smoky Mountain Christmas in Pigeon Forge
Smoky Mountain Christmas is the holiday festival held each year at Dollywood, the theme park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee co-owned by Dolly Parton and Herschend. Running from early November through early January, it fills the park with more than six million lights, seasonal stage shows, and themed dining. Presented by Humana, it is produced by Dollywood Parks and Resorts and extends the park's operating season into winter.
Dollywood's story begins in 1961, when the Robbins brothers opened a small railroad-themed attraction called Rebel Railroad on a patch of land near Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
