Rhode Island International Film Festival in Providence
The Rhode Island International Film Festival, produced by the nonprofit Flickers organization, is an annual multi-day film festival held primarily in Providence and Newport, Rhode Island, with satellite screenings elsewhere. It screens a broad slate of feature films, documentaries, and shorts from filmmakers around the world, alongside industry panels and events.
The Rhode Island International Film Festival grew out of Flickers, a Rhode Island-based arts organization with a long history of film and video programming in the state, which built the festival into an internationally recognized event over several decades of consistent operation.
