Traditional Spanish Market in Santa Fe

Traditional Spanish Market is a juried outdoor exhibition of Hispano folk art held on the Santa Fe Plaza during the last full weekend of July, organized by the Spanish Colonial Arts Society. It is billed as the largest exhibition of traditional Hispanic arts in the United States, featuring santos carvings, retablo paintings, straw appliqué, colcha embroidery, tinwork, and other forms practiced by Hispano artists from New Mexico and southern Colorado.

Traditional Spanish Market traces back to 1926, when the newly formed Spanish Colonial Arts Society decided that Fiesta de Santa Fe needed a dedicated sale for Hispano artists working in the region's centuries-old religious and decorative art forms.
