Terrain in Spokane
Terrain is a one-night, juried multimedia art and music showcase held annually in downtown Spokane on the first Friday of October. Since roughly 2008, the free flagship event has grown to feature hundreds of local artists across painting, poetry, interactive art, film, and live music, alongside a ticketed preview night for early access.
Terrain began in the mid-to-late 2000s as an effort to give Spokane's visual and performing artists a concentrated, high-visibility showcase in a city whose arts scene had historically lacked a signature flagship event on the scale of larger West Coast cities.
