Illinois State Fair in Springfield
The Illinois State Fair is an 11-day agricultural and entertainment fair held every August at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, Illinois. Run by the Illinois Department of Agriculture, it has operated almost every year since 1853, making it one of the oldest state fairs in the country. The fair combines livestock competitions, grandstand concerts, a midway carnival, and agricultural exhibits, drawing several hundred thousand visitors each summer.
