Tucson Festival of Books in Tucson
Debuting in March 2009 on the University of Arizona campus, the Tucson Festival of Books drew about 50,000 attendees and 450 authors in its first year and has grown into the third-largest book festival in the United States, now welcoming more than 130,000 visitors and recognized by Conde Nast Traveler as one of the world's best literary festivals.
The Tucson Festival of Books is, by literary-world standards, a young institution, but it has grown at a pace that belies its age.
