Druid City Arts Festival in Tuscaloosa
Druid City Arts Fest is an annual two-day spring arts festival in downtown Tuscaloosa, Alabama, produced by the City of Tuscaloosa and held at Government Plaza. The 2026 edition runs April 10 to 11, opening Friday evening from 5 to 9 p.m. and continuing Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., featuring visual artists, food vendors, live performances, and a dedicated kids zone.
Tuscaloosa has been known informally as the Druid City since the nineteenth century, a nickname tied to the large, ancient-looking live oak trees that once shaded its streets, evoking the sacred groves associated with Celtic druids in the popular imagination of the era.
