Oregon Country Fair in Veneta

Each July, roughly 500 wooded acres outside Veneta, Oregon become a three-day fair of handmade craft, live music, and countercultural performance, run entirely by a nonprofit that traces its roots to a 1969 fundraiser for an alternative school. Stiltwalkers, brass bands, and costumed parade-goers wind through some 960 craft and food booths spread across 22 performance stages, drawing tens of thousands of visitors to one of the country's longest-running counterculture gatherings.
