Adams Morgan Day in Washington
Adams Morgan Day is an annual outdoor street festival held along 18th Street NW in Washington's Adams Morgan neighborhood, typically in September. The festival celebrates one of the city's most ethnically diverse neighborhoods, historically home to Ethiopian, Salvadoran, Caribbean, and other immigrant communities, with multiple music stages, food vendors, and local art and craft booths lining the closed-off commercial strip.
Adams Morgan has long stood apart from other Washington neighborhoods for its density of immigrant-owned businesses and its reputation as a counterculture and arts hub, built up over decades along the intersecting corridors of 18th Street and Columbia Road.
