Maine International Film Festival in Waterville
The Maine International Film Festival is a ten-day independent and international film festival held annually in the third week of July in Waterville, Maine, at the Maine Film Center and the historic Waterville Opera House. Founded in 1998, it screens independent, international, and Maine-and-New-England-focused films, and presents career achievement awards to established filmmakers and actors.
The Maine International Film Festival was founded in 1998 in Waterville, a small central Maine city perhaps better known as the home of Colby College than as a film destination.
