Scarborough Renaissance Festival in Waxahachie
Scarborough Renaissance Festival, also called Scarborough Faire, has run weekends from early April through Memorial Day since 1981 on a dedicated 165-acre site in Waxahachie. Themed to sixteenth-century England, it features full-combat jousting, more than twenty stages of continuous performance, and roughly 200 artisan shops, drawing about 200,000 visitors a year.
Its immersive village, costumes, and long season give it strong guidebook value.
