Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival in West Newton
The Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival is an outdoor Renaissance fair held on weekends from late August through September in West Newton, Pennsylvania, about thirty miles southeast of Pittsburgh. Operated by Rocky Mountain Festivals, the same company behind the Colorado Renaissance Festival, it recreates a fictional 16th-century English village called Morelandshire across roughly twenty acres, with jousting, live stages, and costumed performers.
Its costumed village and themed weekends give it strong arts/culture identity.
