Martha's Vineyard Agricultural Fair in West Tisbury
The Martha's Vineyard Agricultural Fair, run by the Martha's Vineyard Agricultural Society since 1859, fills West Tisbury's Agricultural Hall grounds for four days each August. The 2026 fair ran August 13-16 under the theme Farm, Family, Fair, combining oxen pulling, 4-H livestock judging, and Hall exhibits of produce and crafts with a full midway carnival.
The Martha's Vineyard Agricultural Fair traces back to October 1858, when island farmers held their first cattle show even before formally incorporating the Martha's Vineyard Agricultural Society the following spring.
