Wilber Czech Days is the largest compatriot festival in the United States, held the first weekend of August in Wilber, Nebraska, the officially declared Czech Capital of the USA since a 1987 decree signed by President Ronald Reagan. The festival draws 30,000 to 50,000 visitors for a parade, brass band and bagpipe performances, dance competitions, kolache baking, and the Miss Czech-Slovak US Pageant.

In February 1962, four residents of Wilber, Nebraska set out with a specific plan: form a Czech organization to perpetuate Czech culture and tradition, make Wilber the Czech Capital of Nebraska, build a tourist attraction through an annual Czech Festival, and construct a museum to preserve Czech literature and artifacts.
