Tashkent Comic Con in Tashkent

Comic Con Tashkent is Uzbekistan's main pop-culture convention, held at Humo Arena each August and drawing fans of film, anime, video games, cosplay and comics, with the 2025 edition on August 10 headlined by Hollywood actor Sean Gunn and Uzbek YouTuber Evgeny Popadinets, and a 2026 edition scheduled for August 16.

Comic conventions spread globally from their American origins over the 2000s and 2010s, and Central Asia's fan communities, connected to global anime, gaming and film fandoms through streaming and social media, eventually generated enough local demand to support their own dedicated events.
