The Toka Festival is a major, irregularly held alliance and exchange ceremony in inland Tanna, often referenced together with the larger Nekowiar ceremony, involving women's and men's dance, a lap lap food exchange, and a closing pig-killing said to wash away wrongs between hosting and visiting villages.

Somewhere in the mountainous interior of Tanna, reached by truck and then on foot along steep dirt tracks, villages that may be rivals, sometimes locked in an active land dispute, occasionally come together for one of the most demanding ceremonies in Vanuatu's customary calendar.
