Festival de Teatro Venezolano in Caracas
Festival de Teatro Venezolano is a free, government-organized theater festival in Caracas, Venezuela, launched by the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture as an initiative of President Nicolas Maduro to promote Venezuelan theater and national identity. A recent edition ran November 13-23 with 66 works, 131 performances, and 1,086 participating artists spread across 21 venues in neighborhoods from Petare to Propatria and downtown Caracas.
For roughly ten days each November, theater in Caracas moves out of any single district and spreads across the whole city.
